More Information
Our teaching follows the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) methodology, meaning that students learn through engaging topics and subject content, while simultaneously developing their English. No matter what their starting level, the entire programme is designed as a language acquisition journey, fully aligned with Cambridge University standards, the British Council and the CEFR framework. Native English speakers enhance their knowledge and academic skills while improving their English to meet GCSE standards, offering valuable preparation for success at both GCSE and A Level.
We offer a wide variety of fun and engaging activities. Academies and Clubs aim to foster creativity, teamwork, and personal growth, giving students the chance to explore new interests outside the classroom and practise their English in everyday situations. Options may include Strategy and Board Games, Baking, Yoga and Mindfulness, Arts and Crafts, Sports, and many more.
Our Senior students stay in one of our Senior boarding houses, comprising single and double rooms, plus some small dormitories, all with shared bathrooms and some en-suite rooms . Our junior students stay in shared rooms in a dedicated boarding house used by our younger children throughout the year.
All our boarding houses are well staffed and supervised, accommodating the needs of every individual child. They are fully secure and each have use of a sitting room with tv and games, an outdoor garden to relax in and a kitchen where drinks and snacks are provided. Our award winning Felsted chefs produce a wide variety of food to suit all tastes, cultures and dietary requirements. All our meals are cooked in-house and served in our modern dining hall. Laundry is provided free-of-charge five days per week.
Course Options
In the Junior Programme, students focus exclusively on English Language learning, building strong foundations in reading, writing, speaking and listening.
Designed for international students, this pathway develops foundational skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Using engaging, content-rich topics, it supports learners from beginner to intermediate levels in building confidence and accuracy in everyday communication.
Ideal for learners at upper-intermediate level and above, this pathway blends advanced language development with thought-provoking global themes. Through discussion, analysis, and collaborative projects, students develop fluency, critical thinking, and academic English skills. It is equally beneficial for native speakers seeking to refine and expand their language and communication skills.
