Empower. Explore. Innovate. Gaia Changemakers Program (GCP) is a three-week traveling summer program for motivated students (15-19) passionate about sustainability, leadership, and real-world impact. Held in Switzerland and the Czech Republic, Gaia Changemakers combines hands-on learning, expert mentorship, and global challenges to prepare students for the future. Experience adventure, teamwork, and college-ready leadership skills.
The Gaia Changemakers Program (GCP) is a unique three-week summer camp for students aged 15 to 19. It is innovatively designed to equip participants with the skills, mindset, and values needed to thrive in an uncertain future.
Traveling from Zurich to Prague and culminating in the Swiss Alps, participants engage in hands-on experiences that build qualities like leadership, resilience, creativity, and adaptability - qualities that top universities and employers seek.

7 to 25 June; 5 to 23 July 2027. Availability subject to provider confirmation.
3 weeks
CHF 5,700 semi residential or CHF 7,200 fully residential for three weeks. Please confirm availability and inclusions with the provider.

What the price covers
Full inclusion details
- For all students: Daily lunch when in Zurich
- all program activities from Monday to Friday 9-6pm when in Zurich, and our welcome dinner on 14th July
- all program activities, food and accommodation when in the Alps and in Czech Republic
- travel to/from Zurich to Prague and the Alps. For fully-residential students: All meals
- evening and weekend activities like hiking, excursions to other cities of Switzerland, visiting a chocolate factory and exploring what Switzerland has to offer
- accommodation for the entire duration of the program starting from the 13th of July
- pick up/Drop off at Zurich airport.

What you’ll do
Beyond its academic focus, the Gaia Changemakers Program offers a dynamic extracurricular experience designed to foster personal growth, leadership, and global connections. Students engage in a variety of adventurous, cultural, and networking activities that complement their learning and create lifelong memories.
Outdoor Exploration & Adventure: Hike through the Swiss Alps, engage in sustainability projects in nature, and participate in team-building challenges that develop resilience and leadership.
Cultural Immersion & City Exploration: Discover the historic charm of Prague and Zurich, engaging with local communities, businesses, and global organizations to gain a deeper understanding of international perspectives.
Networking & Team Collaboration: Connect with like-minded students from around the world, work on impact-driven group projects, and gain mentorship from top professionals in business, sustainability, and academia.
Leadership & Personal Development: Through leadership workshops, discussions, and hands-on challenges, students build confidence, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a globalized world.
Academics
The Gaia Changemakers Program blends academic exploration with real-world application, offering students an immersive learning experience in sustainability, leadership, and innovation. The program challenges participants to think critically, engage with global experts, and develop practical solutions to today’s most pressing challenges.
Students engage in: Project-Based Learning – Hands-on sustainability and leadership challenges guided by scientists, entrepreneurs, and corporate leaders. Interdisciplinary Approach – Integrating environmental science, social impact, business strategy, and global policy to foster a well-rounded perspective.
Expert-Led Workshops – Interactive sessions with academics, industry professionals, and Changemakers shaping the future of sustainability and leadership. Experiential Learning – Field studies in Switzerland and the Czech Republic, from environmental research in the Swiss Alps to business innovation in Prague.
This academically enriching experience equips students with critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills that enhance their college applications and future career paths.
Accommodation and meals
The Gaia Changemakers Program offers two accommodation options to cater to diverse student needs:
1. Fully-Residential Option: Inclusions: accommodation, all meals, weekend activities, and transfers to/from Zurich Airport or the main Zurich train station. Details: Students are provided with comfortable lodging for the entire program duration, ensuring a seamless and immersive experience.
2. Semi-Residential Option: Inclusions: accommodation, meals, and transportation during excursions to Prague and the Swiss Alps. Exclusions: accommodation and meals in Zurich during the weekdays; students must arrange their own lodging and meals in Zurich.
Details: This option offers flexibility for local students or those with alternative accommodation plans in Zurich.
