Academics

As a member of the UK’s esteemed Russell Group, Queen Mary is one of the world’s leading research universities, meaning you can expect first-class teaching in an intellectually-rich environment. Each summer school course consists of 48 contact hours over three weeks, along with 150 hours of independent study. There are educational field trips to contextualise your studies and give you ‘real-life’ insights into the wider aspects of your subject, and it’s possible to achieve credits that can be transfered back to your home degree, giving you the option to fast-track your degree. Queen Mary’s offers a broad range of thought-provoking courses designed by its inspiring academics; students can specialise in their chosen field in much further depth, or explore something brand-new.

Extracurriculars

Students are encouraged to take advantage of the full London experience against the vibrant multicultural backdrop of the East End! Build friendships, try out new things and immerse yourself in British culture, from its art to cuisine! Choose from two different social programmes (additional charge) and see London’s most famous sights such as Big Ben and The London Eye, join an East End art tour or Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tour, see a West End theatre show (Wicked or The Lion King) or visit the mystical Stonehenge – and more! There are also complimentary welcome and farewell events to help you make friends and keep in touch long after your summer course has come to an end!

Accommodation

Accommodation consists of single en-suite bedrooms in Queen Mary University’s student halls of residence at its central London-located Mile End Campus). Bedding and towels are included.
