The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland offers a wide array of summer programs in dance, drama, and musical theatre, welcoming children and young adults of all skill levels. On the RCS Filmmaking course, you’ll live ‘on-location;’ at The Dean Castle, which sits within the stunning 200 acre grounds of Dean Castle Country Park in Kilmarnock, home to wildlife, ponds, and forest walks, yet only a 40-minute hop into Glasgow. In Glasgow there are plenty of things to do with the new friends you’ll have made: discover live music, immerse yourself in art at world-class galleries and museums (most are free to enter) and find out why Glasgow is dubbed ‘Dear Green Place’ – you’re never far from one of its glorious parks. RCS shows more than 600 musical and theatrical performances in each of its five professional venues, and you’ll have the opportunity to watch a show! There are a range of planned activities both on and off-site, including bowling, a movie night, ceilidh, and plenty of outdoor activities.
