Set in the prestigious academic surroundings of Oxford, this summer camp offers students the opportunity to live and study on a dedicated IB World School campus in North Oxford, just a short walk from the city centre. With students from over 60 countries, college life is truly international, supported by modern classrooms, science labs, an art studio, and a large library. Learning is immersive and theme-based, connecting English lessons to real-world topics through study visits, guest speakers, and excursions, with classes tailored to help students gain deeper insight from every trip. A wide range of specialist courses - from Interactive English and Exam Preparation to Business, Science, Art, and IB Introduction - allows students to pursue their academic interests while building confidence and fluency. Beyond the classroom, students enjoy a rich residential experience with inclusive meals, vibrant social spaces, and a full activities programme ranging from sports to creative workshops. Weekly excursions to cultural and historical destinations, alongside options such as punting and English tea parties, bring the UK to life. With a choice of residential or homestay accommodation, 24-hour pastoral care, and high staff-to-student ratios, the camp provides a safe, supportive environment where students grow academically, socially, and culturally - all while experiencing life in one of the world’s most iconic university cities, home to the University of Oxford.
The academic programme blends structured English tuition with immersive, theme-based learning that extends far beyond the classroom. Weekly academic themes connect lessons to real-world topics, enriched by study visits and guest speakers, while English classes are tailored to each excursion so students can apply their language skills in authentic cultural and academic settings. Students can choose from a wide range of specialist courses to match their goals: Interactive English builds fluency through projects and study visits; Intensive English Exam Preparation develops exam techniques for IELTS and Cambridge English; IB Introduction explores IB philosophy through multidisciplinary study, including Shakespeare; Business & Entrepreneurship focuses on Business English and venture creation; Science & Experiments develops investigative lab skills with exposure to leading research; and Art & Digital Design nurtures creativity through studio practice and exhibition work.
A key highlight of the summer school is its varied weekly sports and activities programme, offering something for everyone, from punting, football, badminton, volleyball, tennis, and basketball to arts and crafts, quizzes, table tennis, games nights, karaoke, film nights, and even an English tea party (some may incur an additional charge). One excursion is included each week (choice subject to availability), with the option to join additional trips. Destinations range from London - where students can experience the London Eye, Tower of London, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, British Museum, West End shows, Oxford Street shops, and Covent Garden - to Windsor Castle, Stratford-uponAvon, Warwick Castle, Blenheim Palace, theme parks, and many more.
Students can choose to stay in one of our college residences or with a trusted English-speaking homestay provider, depending on their preference for independence or a more immersive cultural experience.
