In partnership with Ultimate Activity Camps, these day camps seamlessly blend an exhilarating activity program with English language tuition. Aimed at integrating international students with local English-speaking children, the courses emphasize shared activities in sports, arts, and adventures. The day camps, spanning 1-7 weeks (Monday to Friday), offer a dynamic mix of English language lessons (10 per week) and a diverse activity program with over 40 options, including art, sports, and adventure activities. English language sessions, capped at 12 students per class, follow a communicative approach, encouraging learning through games and group activities. The activity program provides an opportunity for students to engage with local peers, applying their language skills in real-world situations. A certificate is awarded at the end of the course, making these English language summer day camps a perfect blend of education and fun for young learners.

Academics

Every week, children will enjoy an exciting and unrivalled programme of activities. With over 40 different activities on offer, the programme has something for everyone, from art and creative sessions, to sport and adventure. A unique feature of these day camps is that children join activity sessions with local British children who are of a similar age, thereby creating additional opportunities for language and cultural exchange.

Extracurriculars

Summer Boarding Courses’ range of academic, career-focused and English language courses set the foundation for long-term success through knowledge acquisition, skill development and intellectual exploration. Curiosity and critical thinking are actively encouraged, nurturing a passion for learning that extends far beyond the confines of a traditional education. SBC’s one-week long day camps for juniors take place at some of the UK’s best independent schools in Oxford, delivered in partnership with Ultimate Activity Camps, and combine an action-packed activity programme with English tuition. International students are integrated with English children (85% of children at the camp are local English children), creating a truly immersive English language learning environment. Class sizes are kept small, with no more than 12 children per class, and students are grouped by ability for a tailored experience. Students recieve two 50-minute English language lessons per day day and there are over 40 sports and leisure activities to choose from.
