Academics

The University of the Arts Summer Study Abroad program offers three week-long courses over three summer sessions at all its colleges, except for the London College of Fashion. Students who want to study with the London College of Fashion can attend one of their summer schools, which run for five weeks to eight weeks and include study trips to Paris. All summer options allow students to study one of the university’s prestigious courses. Each course is designed to be intensive and fast-paced.

These courses are available across subject areas and are open to students of all types and with varying experience levels. Students can begin their studies at the University of the Arts London in June and continue until August.

Courses available in: Art & Fine Arts, Art History, Communications, Design, Fashion Design & Merchandising, Graphic Design, Illustration & Animation, Industrial Design, Interior Design, International Business, Management, Marketing, Advertising, & PR, Theater, Visual Arts, Web Design

Extracurriculars

Extracurricular activities are dependent on the course of interest. Students aged 16 to 18 are permitted to leave the site at lunchtime and there are a variety of local shops and cafes where food can be purchased if they wish to do so.

Accommodation

Sketch House is exclusively for UAL students and the design was inspired by London’s artist community. Based right in the heart of Finsbury Park, this is a perfect location for students wishing to be close to Central London in a lively community. Sketch House is a 5 minute walk from Finsbury Park Underground and National Rail station. The station is on both the Piccadilly and Victoria underground lines and offers links to Moorgate, Kings Cross and Cambridge. Central Saint Martins and Chelsea College of Arts are just a quick tube ride away.

We advise that students book their summer accommodation as soon as they receive their offer letter. Students will only receive the discounted rate once they receive an unconditional offer from the central UAL Study Abroad team. For more details about the discounted rate, please refer to the conditional offer letter.
