The University of Oxford’s Department for Continuing Education Summer Program offers a rich educational experience for adults, combining rigorous academic courses with a vibrant cultural program. Beyond study, there will be plenty of time to soak up all that the vibrant and cosmopolitan city of Oxford has to to offer; its busy cultural and social scene comprises a wide variety of plays and shows, concerts, restaurants, films and exhibitions. There are also world-class museums such as The Ashmoleum and The Natural History Museum to explore, alongside fascinating architecture, and of course, the Oxford colleges themselves. A range of optional social events are available to attend, such as a quiz night, visit to historic pubs in Oxford, visit to Christ Church for Evensong and after-dinner talks and discussions. There’s also a welcome drinks reception and dinner on the first night as well as a formal gala dinner at the end of the programme.
