  • Complete modules including Film Production Techniques, and Film Genres and Movements. Learning happens in project-based sessions, career skills sessions, industry visits and 1:1 tutoring. Career Insights participants in London will stay at UCL’s award-winning accommodation, ideally located with iconic London sights in every direction. The Graduation Ceremony marks the completion of your Career Insights course. This event will be an elegant celebration of achievements. Participants of the London Career Insights course can enjoy a variety of cultural activities, excursions, and sports. Expect visits to landmarks like the British Museum and Tate Modern, boat rides on the Thames, and trips to the Tower of London. Situated between Bloomsbury and Kings Cross, our prime location allows us to explore industry hubs throughout the city and enjoy its exceptional food, culture, and history.

Accommodation

All participants will live in comfortable student accommodation at their chosen venue, in clean rooms and with adequate supervision. Where multiple campuses may be available (such as in Oxford or Cambridge), students will be allocated to a college a few weeks before arriving, based on their dates and subject choice.

Academics & Tuition

You’ll study key topics such as film theory, genre, narrative techniques, and the history of cinema. The course also covers practical elements of filmmaking, including directing, scriptwriting, and editing, allowing you to explore the creative side of film production. You’ll critically analyse films and learn how directors use visual storytelling to engage audiences.
