The Teen Volunteer Summer Camp in Costa Rica offers high school students the chance to make a positive impact while experiencing life in one of Central America’s most biodiverse countries. Based in a safe and welcoming community, teens take part in meaningful volunteer projects that support local people and environmental initiatives, while being guided by experienced local staff and coordinators every step of the way.
Alongside volunteering, the program is designed to be fun, social, and enriching. Participants enjoy cultural activities, Spanish language exposure, group excursions, and outdoor adventures that showcase Costa Rica’s beaches, rainforests, and wildlife. With accommodation, meals, supervision, and activities included, this camp provides a structured and supportive introduction to international volunteering, helping teens build confidence, global awareness, and lifelong friendships.
The program has a strong educational focus, combining hands-on volunteering with informal learning and personal development. Participants gain real-world experience through structured volunteer activities, strengthen cross-cultural communication skills, and build a deeper understanding of global issues such as sustainability, community development, and environmental conservation.
While the camp is not classroom-based, participants can earn academic credit at an additional cost, adding extra value to their experience. This experiential learning supports personal growth and looks strong on future study or college applications. For more information about academic credit, visit http://bit.ly/4afTUFW
