The International Youth Media Summit (IYMS) is a unique annual event bringing together young delegates (filmmakers and diplomats aged 18-35) worldwide. Together, they collaborate on hands-on film production, creating impactful short films addressing global issues. Over the past 19 years, 1,700 participants from more than 80 countries have produced 140 short films, each tackling urgent social problems. The seven recognized global issues addressed each year are Discrimination, Environment, Health, Poverty, Violence, Women’s Rights, and Youth Empowerment.
Some key activities will include: colllaborative film production sessions focusing on the Seven Issues & the Summit theme, workshops on filmmaking, media production, and cultural heritage preservation, panel discussions with global experts on issues such as cultural identity, globalization, and youth empowerment, screenings and exhibitions of films and media projects created by participants, networking sessions to build connections among youth leaders, professionals, and sponsors.
