Academic Foundation Courses at Eton

SBC at Eton College runs one course in 2027: Global Leaders Simulation. It is a two-week programme for students aged 12 to 16 that develops English through British history, literature, culture and society.

The course is structured around an extended simulation in which students invent and develop a fictional country, making decisions about its politics, media, traditions and identity as the fortnight progresses.

Alongside this, students look at real British culture — monarchy, politics, media, sport, food, humour and regional identity — and test what they have learned through fieldwork and excursions in Windsor and London. There are 20 hours of teaching a week in classes of no more than 15.

A minimum English level of B1 is required. Students stay at Eton College with all meals provided, and the fee includes the social and excursion programme, a leavers' party, an individual report and a certificate. Eton is a short walk from Windsor and around 15 minutes from London Heathrow.
